REGGIE RIVAS

Reggie Rivas is the founder of Crescenta Valley Soccer Club. He is the former head coach for the Crescenta Valley High School girl’s soccer program. His 2002 varsity squad finished a very successful season by an appearance in the CIF Division II finals, the first CIF finals appearance ever by a local area women’s soccer program.
He has received the Daily News Coach of the Year award, Glendale Lion’s Club Coach of the Year Award, and the Glendale News Press Coach of the Year Award. Later that year Reggie became a volunteer assistant coach with the UCLA Women’s team under head coach Jillian Ellis.
In 2003 his team won the prestigious State Open Cup, which was an 87-team tournament that year. In 2004 his under 19 team won the CSL Silver Elite division, and his U-15 participated in the Gold division of Coast Soccer League. First team in club history to achieve gold status. In 2005 he help the club grow to twelve teams and in 2007 they are at 14 teams.
Reggie grew up in Modesto, California. Played club soccer for Ajax United, under Dave Dehart (currently the coach at University of the Ozarks, in Clarksville Arkansas). He was a member of the Olympic Development Program (ODP) state team for years and a regional pool player for two years. He played for Modesto Junior College for two years then transferred to Cal State University Northridge before an injury ended his college career. At Modesto Junior College, Reggie received All Conference first team and all Northern California team first team in both seasons.
He has taken USA girls under 15, 17 and 19 teams to compete in the Gothia Cup (World Youth Cup) in Sweden. In 2005 he took his girls under15 Gold team before competing in the tournament, they first made a stop in England to train with the English Premier League Team, Manchester United football Club. At that stop, his team won the Tri-Nations tournament. Where they competed against Manchester City LFC and a local Welsh club team called Canarfon Town Club.
Reggie has coached and developed numerous players that have played at the collegiate level as well. The past two years Reggie has also helped develop an organization known as CVCAN (Crescenta Valley commitment to Athletic Needs) and raised over 1.4 million dollars to upgrade the athletic field and track where CVSC trains and plays their games. He holds a National USSF National “C” license. Reggie understands the importance of building strong technical skills in young players while keeping the game of soccer a fun challenge.

STEPHANIE RIGAMAT

CVSC is proud and honored to welcome Stephanie back to our club.
Stephanie is one of the most accomplished women’s soccer players in
Southern California. She is a La Crescenta native, a graduate of
Crescenta Valley High School and UCLA. Stephanie led the Bruins to the
NCAA College Cup Finals in 2000 and later played with the Washington
Freedom of the WUSA and also made her debut with the full US Women’s
National Team in January of 2001. Stephanie has been a presence with
CVSC off and on for many years and has now joined us full-time. “Rigs”
will be coaching on the girls side as well as using her extensive
college playing and coaching experience to help prepare CVSC players for
the next level. We are excited that Stephanie has decided to call CVSC
home and looking forward to the huge impact she is sure to have in our
club.

Dino
Barbiera
CVSC Coach and Trainer |
Dino Barbiera has been playing soccer since the age of five.
Throughout his lifetime, he has played in leagues such as AYSO, Club,
College, and Semi-Professional. In his youth, Dino was trained by Chivas
USA Assistant Coach, Martin Vasquez.
Currently, Dino is a captain, and First-Team Western State Conference
player at Glendale Community College. During the off-season, he plays
for various leagues in Glendale, Arcadia, Upland, Duarte, San Marino,
and Chino Hills.
In 1995, Dino began his coaching career with AYSO Select and All-Star
teams. In 2004, he took over the Head Junior Varsity Boy’s Soccer Coach
position at Temple City High School. Also, Dino has a full-time coaching
position with Kidz Love Soccer, a non-competitive soccer instructional
program designed to teach children between the ages of 2-12 soccer,
while incorporating various life lessons. In addition to high school and
club, Dino trains various individual youth and adult players in the San
Gabriel Valley.

RANDY LILIVOIS
CVSC Coach and Trainer |
Randy Lilavois is Boy’s Head Coach at Crescenta
Valley High School. He comes to CVSC after coaching a successful boy’s
and girl’s program at Chaparral High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. He led
the boy’s team to a Division Title and the Sunrise Region Finals in
2004. That same year Randy received the Sunrise Region Coach Of The Year
Honors. This is Randy’s first season at the helm for the mighty CVHS
Falcons and is excited to bring back to the team a wining tradition.
A graduate of La Salle High School and California
State University, Long Beach. Randy is a Pasadena Native who is happy to
be back home and ready to foster a love of soccer in the younger
generation of players at CVSC. Randy is also an English teacher at CVHS,
and has been married for the past five years and has fifteen-month-old
daughter.
CVSC is very excited to welcome Randy to our
experienced staff.

JORDAN STANLEY
CVSC Coach and Trainer |
Played for Crescenta Valley High School. She was the captain of the 2002 team
that made it to the C.I.F. Finals. That was the first girl’s team in our area
to ever make it that far. Jordan was 1st team all C.I.F., 1st
team all Pacific League, 1st team all area for the Glendale News
Press, and was a Scholar Athlete. Jordan received the Most Valuable player
award two years in a row at CVHS. She also was named the most Athletic Female
at Crescenta Valley High School her Senior Year. Jordan is currently attending
California State University, Northridge. This is Jordan’s second year with CVSC.
She is currently coaching the girls under 11 and under 16 teams.

BRETT VORSTER
CVSC Coach and Trainer |
Brett is originally from South Africa, played his collegiate soccer for
California State University, Northridge. Was the head coach for Hoover High
School the past three seasons. He started a tradition of passion for the game
at Hoover. He is now a Volunteer Assistant Men’s coach at Glendale Community
College. This is Brett second year with CVSC. Brett is currently the head
coach of boy’s u-11, boy’s u-16 and girl’s u-14 blue team. Brett brings a high
energy and work rate to CVSC.

Renato O’Neal Jr.
CVSC Coach and Trainer |
Renato grew up in Southern California and played his High School soccer for
Maranatha High School. Played his club soccer for Claremont Stars. Renato played
his collegiate soccer for Azusa Pacific University. He Graduated in 2003 with a
B.A. For the past three seasons he has played for Cobalt F.C. of Arcadia. He
coached two years at the Junior Varsity Level for Walnut High School. Renato is
also the sales director for Linkline Communication, Inc. He focuses on the
technical part of the game and teamwork.
