DAVE DE HART JOINS CVSC AS TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Former University of the Ozarks Soccer Coached Named as Technical Director for the Crescenta Valley Soccer Club
LA CRESCENTA, Calif. – Mar. 9, 2009 – The Crescenta Valley Soccer Club, a local competitive youth soccer organization, has announced the selection of Dave De Hart as the club’s new technical director, beginning on May 1, 2009. De Hart has been at the helm for the University of Ozarks men’s soccer for the last ten years. His 135-60-15 overall record with the Ozarks team places him among the winningest active men’s soccer coaches in NCAA Division III.
De Hart brings more than 30 years of soccer coaching experience to Crescenta Valley Soccer Club. His experience ranges from the youth programs – including state, regional, and national Olympic Development teams to the high school, college and professional levels. Notably, De Hart served as the State Director of Coaching in Nevada, and he coached at the youth competitive level in Modesto, Calif. for 13 seasons where he compiled over 500 victories and three Northern California State Championships. Additionally, he is the author of the book, Teaching and Understanding Soccer Goalkeeping. De Hart holds a master’s degree in Health and Physical Education and holds a USSF “A” coaching license.
“I am looking forward to working with the CVSC players and developing their technical expertise,” said De Hart. “Moreover, I hope to instill the importance of focusing on education as part of the overall success in our player-athletes.”
