Dear CVSC Friends, Families, and Fellow Coaches,

I am writing today to tell you that after seven long years with Crescenta Valley SC, I will be leaving the club as of next week to take a job out of state.
This past Summer, my family moved to Huntsville, Alabama to be closer to my wife’s family. The move came before the start of the school year so that my wife(a teacher), and my oldest daughter could be there to start the new school year. The plan was that I would continue to work here in California for one more Club and SPHS season before joining the family in March. However, as you all know about life, plans change. Several opportunities have arisen for me in AL, that will force me to leave earlier than planned, and allow me to join my family sooner. The opportunity to go home to my two daughters and be with my family ASAP is not one that I can turn down or postpone.
I want to thank all of the players, parents, and coaches that I have had a chance to work with over the years for all of their help and support. I especially would like to thank Reggie Rivas and the CVSC Board members that have given me so many opportunities over the years to help make our club one of the strongest in the area. It was always my goal and vision to develop better soccer players, help them improve their skills, and learn the game of soccer that we all love so much. Through my time at CVSC as a Head Coach, Assistant Coach, and Girl’s Director, Reggie and the Board have given me the opportunity to fulfill those goals. Even my new position as Director of First Kickers had allowed me(for a short time) to work with the youngest ages to help develop them as soccer players.
Whether I was working with Reggie and our older players to develop the first Premier team in the club’s history, and send dozens of players to play college soccer around the country, or working with our younger beginning teams to prepare them for Club and High School Soccer, I will have long lasting memories at CVSC that I will always cherish. Even my connection with teams, players, and families that I never had the chance to personally coach, will always mean the world to me. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your children’s and your family’s lives for all these years.
Through triumph and tragedy over the years, The CVSC family has always been a source of pride and joy in my life. I wish you all the best in soccer, and hope to see you soon down the road on the showcase tournament fields, or in the stands at PCC!!!

Sincerely,
Coach Randy Lilavois
