College Prep Program
Looking to the Future!
As Director of Crescenta Valley Soccer Club, I have been fortunate enough to assist in the development of many of the top youth soccer players in the area. In earlier years, as a high school coach and assistant coach at UCLA, I realized that many players were not getting the necessary help and information from their club teams that they needed in order to play at the next level after graduation. Along the way, I have spent many hours working with college coaches, high school counselors, players and their families to develop proven methods to get players noticed, and to help them reach their goals to play in college. I have developed a comprehensive plan for soccer success and am very excited to pass along this information to our club players as we introduce "The CVSC College Prep Program".
First off, I want to say that no sports club or organization can guarantee a scholarship for your child, however we do guarantee you will get our best effort, from both my dedicated staff and me. In addition to receiving the excellent field training from our well-developed professional staff, we will work hard for you and your child to help them reach their goals as a student-athlete.
The object of the "CVSC College Prep Program" is to begin at the earliest ages of development with a specific soccer curriculum and academic goals. This step-by-step plan will help your child develop the necessary level of soccer skills needed to play at the high school and college level. Once players have the skills, we will work to get them exposed to college programs across the nation. We will help your child prepare a cover letter and resume that works, and help match them with college programs that fit their soccer skill and academic level. Our teams play at the highest levels of youth soccer competition and regularly attend College Showcase Tournaments, so your child will get to display their talents on the field in front of college coaches. Our coaching staff will even help in contacting schools that might suite your child’s ability. We will also present college nights, where college coaches, players and counselors will discuss how to achieve success as a collegiate student athlete. Of course, the "X Factor" in any plan of this nature is the desire, commitment, and ability that players and parents display. Success requires hard work.
See the information below to begin your college prep planning process. Our organization is committed to fostering both the athletic and academic excellence of youth soccer players for success in high school and college.
